New York Fashion Week was blessed with many shades of color this year, and womenswear brand Maki Oh — by designer Amaka Osakwe — was a highlight of it all. Fusing African techniques with detailed contemporary construction, Osakwe is one of many Black designers making her mark in Africa and America's fashion industry — and inspiring designers of color to do the same.
