"Be Humble, Sit Down." — Kendrick Lamar

"Be Humble, Sit Down." — Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar is successfully shutting down your favorite rap idol’s ego with his latest track, “Humble.” We were all warned on “The Heart Part IV” that he has much in store for these self-proclaimed “Greatest Rappers Alive”:

“Y’all got till April the 7th to get ya'll shit together!”

Scenes in the Humble video feature Kendrick in full religious garb, sitting in salon chairs, hot-headed and with his homies at the Last Supper. A lot of the visuals are meant to parody those who deem themselves as the most high in power, wealth and arrogance. Many meanings can be drawn from director Dave Meyers' (not to forget the Little Homies) dope use of symbolism.

Overall, it’s a call out. It’s K Dot reaching back into his arsenal and telling the industry to step their game up. To do better. To be humble...
