Traveling While Black: Two New Companies Made For Us, By Us

Thousands of Black travelers have experienced discrimination while booking travel through the vacation rental service, Airbnb. Black Twitter users have even taken to the platform with the hashtag #AirbnbWhileBlack to express the bigotry they've experienced.

To remedy this problem, two companies — Noirbnb and Innclusive (formally Noirebnb) — were created. The companies were created by founders who share similar stories of being unfairly treated by Airbnb hosts due to their race. The founders decided that the best way to create a better traveling experience was to make their own.
