ZiM Presents DigiCon: Self-Care Sunday
ZiM is a digital community based around personal care, providing users with the opportunity to discover carefully curated beauty content based on their individual interests. Through honest, transparent reviews about product ingredients and personal experience, users can create community based on their shared beauty experiences.
CEO Kristina Ashley Williams founded the company in honor of her mother, who passed away from breast cancer when she was a teen. As her mother went in and out of chemotherapy, Williams explains, her weakened immune system would cause her to react to the toxins and fragrances in the various beauty products she tried. Williams wanted to create the platform that her mother didn’t have, one for inclusive, transparent discussions about beauty products, designed to be customizable to your particular needs.
In celebration of their app launching this summer, ZiM is holding a digital beauty conference this Sunday, May 3 to bring together indie beauty businesses and consumers of color.
DigiCon: Self-care Sunday will be a jam-packed series of events. With two specially curated tracks, both vendors and consumers can attend a myriad of workshops and talks. There will also be a networking mixer, Pitch Competition, and a virtual vendor expo with 20+ brands.
The event will be led by some of our favorite industry experts, including Beatrice Dixon, founder & CEO of The Honey Pot Co; Yelitsa Jean-Charles of Healthy Roots Dolls; Naj Austin of Ethel’s Club; and Mayvenn’s Diishan Imira.
