Nappily Ever After Advanced Screening at The Wing SoHo — Photos!
On Monday at The Wing SoHo, we had the honor of hosting an advanced screening of Nappily Ever After — the new movie featuring goddesses Sanaa Lathan and Lynn Whitfield — in partnership with Netflix’s Strong Black Lead. The feeling of sisterhood in the room was palpable as attendees, laughed, cried and shouted, “Girllll, leave him!” at the screen in unison; connected by the shared, unique experience of Black womanhood. It was truly a special moment in time.

Our screening was followed by a conversation with Sanaa, Ms. Whitfield, the film’s producer and director, Tracey Bing and Haifaa al-Mansour (a.k.a. Saudi Arabia’s first female filmmaker!); moderated by our Editor-In-Chief, Lindsey Day. If you weren’t in the room with us, we promise you wish you were!
