The Cover of Issue No.03 — Money & Power — is Here!
The cover of the Money & Power Issue is here and the gorgeous Morgan Debaun, founder of Blavity, Inc., is our cover girl! After a starting her career in Silicon Valley, Debaun founded the millennial news and culture platform, blavity.com as a response to the lack of representation of Black millennials in media and tech. But she didn't stop there; she soon hustled her way into the (far too) short list of Black women who have raised over $2 million in VC funding, and launched digital health and beauty site, 21Ninety.
She's since created two annual conferences: AfroTech, to address opportunities for Black people in tech; and Summit21, a women's conference with Beauty, Money and Impact tracks. Last year, she acquired the popular Travel Noire and Shadow and Act and has built a mighty team that is working together to reclaim our narrative in fresh new ways. Her long list of awards and honors include Forbes 30 Under 30, SXSW Black Innovator of the Year and ADCOLOR's Innovator Award.
